Shamrock Civil was engaged by Baulderstone to complete the Civil Works for the Mackay Base Hospital Redevelopment Project.

The works included:

  • Provide site specific traffic management plan (TMP) for each stage of works. Coordinate with Baulderstone and Mackay Base Hospital to implement the vehicular and pedestrian TMP and commence demolition of the relevant stage. Fencing was used to ensure each excavation/work zone was clearly delineated and safe to access and work within as well as prevent access by the general public.
  • Complete excavation works to each area as specified. Excavation was backfilled with the specified pavement material to protect the subsoil and incorporated all testing and quality control requirements. Materials compacted to the required density as placed in the excavation to ensure conformity to specification.
  • Concrete works including kerbing for each stage
  • Each stage sealed and asphalt placed prior to moving on to the next stage. Once asphalt cured, completed linemarking operation for each stage.
  • Reinstate areas affected by day to day construction process.
