Shamrock Civil was awarded the project which involved the upgrade of the Jackson Road and Sadlier Street intersection within Gallipoli Barracks at Enoggera.
Scope of Work

Locate and pothole all existing underground & overhead services to confirm all depths, heights and locations

Removal of 14 existing trees on the northern side of Jackson Road and new replacement planting at a ratio of 1:10 (1 removed: 10 replaced)

Excavation of earth, kerb, footpath, and vegetation that fall within thewidening section

Excavation, treatment and disposal of PFAS contaminated spoil

Construction of 2 new pavements: rigid (reinforced concrete) & flexible (gravel and asphalt surfacing)
– 182m2 double reinforced 250mm 40Mpa
– 152m2 flexible pavement including 200mm 2.5 Road base, 165mm2.3 Road base, 150mm Type 2.1 Road base & 50mm Asphalt

Construction of new pavement drainage including subsurface drainage, kerb & channel, storm water gully pit and manhole

Construction of new footpath, pram ramps and turfed verge

Relocate existing fire hydrant and remove existing watermain valve to facilitate new road widening

Relocate existing signage and installation of new signage and pavement linemarking
