Shamrock Civil was contracted to construct a new linking road between Gilmore and Wembley Roads, including the construction of the signalized intersection with Wembley Rd and Wembley Rd to receive additional road widening and existing pavement overlaid.

Works included:

  • Pavement and asphalting;
  • Supply and installation of stormwater (including cross road culverts), sewer, water main,
  • Supply and installation of electrical services for lighting and traffic signals.
  • Landscaping
  • Special subgrade treatments required due to unsuitable subgrade.
  • Moderately complex worksite traffic management on Wembley road (approx. 30,000 VPD)
  • Moderately complex community/stakeholder management in conjunction with Logan City Council.
  • Moderately complex project management, which included the management of several subcontractors engaged to supply and install electrical services for lighting and traffic signals, water main, asphalt and kerbs.
  • Moderately complex environmental risk management due to large cleared work area which required extensive erosion and sediment controls including maintenance of a sediment retention basin.
