The McConnel Dowell Laydown project is located at the Roma Hub 02 which is approximately 50km from Roma near Wallumbilla. The laydown area was constructed to store pipes and materials for the pipeline to Gladstone.

Scope of Work

  • Clearing and grubbing of 38,000m2 of all undesirable materials, trees, shrubs and remove to stockpile
  • Stripping and stockpiling of topsoil for re-use
  • Bulk earthworks
  • Importation of 13,000T of material using a local haulage company and locally sourced materials for 38,000m2 hardstand and roads

Project Complications & Achievements

At request of the client, the work was completed promptly, so the area was ready to receive materials for the Roma GLNG project.
