Shamrock Civil have been awarded the contract to complete the civil works on the Defence Logistics Transformation Program at the Townsville Lavarack Barracks. The main scope of works include:

  • Site establishment including sediment and erosion control, survey and testing;
  • Environmental management;
  • Contamination spoil remediation;
  • Demolition of 40,000m² of existing pavements and services;
  • Bulk earthworks including 62,000m³ of imported select fill and 34,00m³ of excavation;
  • Stormwater services with a 115m long 3/2400 RCBC culvert structure and 2.9km of RCP pipework and associated structures;
  • 72,000m² of pavement construction works including sealed granular, CTB and concrete pavements; and
  • Installation of road and street furniture.

The project team celebrated 140,000 hours LTI free at completion, a significant safety achievement for all involved.
