We are currently seeking a accountant for our head office located in Carole Park, Brisbane. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and can look forward to duties that include but are not limited to:

    • Record bank statement entries and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Review, correct and accrue unapproved invoices.
    • Manage Chart of Accounts and cost allocation.
    • Accounting and General Ledger entries.
    • Review entries for AP, AR, PR, Enc & GL.
    • Inter co loan reconciliations and invoicing.
    • Inter co Cash / Funding.
    • Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation & disposals.
    • Review GL, AP and AR Reconciliations.
    • Apply GAAP and IAS into business.
    • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements, FBT & review Payroll Tax.

You will be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction at Accountant level. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in use of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in use of other Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in use of ERP system.
  • Extensive knowledge of FBT, Payroll tax, GST and Div7A.

You will be joining our internal IT team and can look forward to duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator and its suite of components including SharePoint Online, Intune and Config Manager.
  • Maintain, support and provision desktop hardware including PCs, laptops and mobile devices. In addition to printers, peripherals and audio-visual appliances. Ensuring these assets are recorded and records maintained.
  • Investigate and resolve or escalate issues in areas related to Active Directory, DNS, DCHP, MS server and Office 365 suite
  • Securing and maintaining the Essential 8 security standards.
  • Maintenance and administration of the wired and wireless networking environment.

You will ideally hold a tertiary qualification in in technology, computer science, networking or information security or equivalent industry experience or certifications such as COMPTIA-A+, MCP or MCSE, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a helpdesk or similar support role. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An understanding of networking including routers, switches, firewalls.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively via e-mail, over the phone and face-to-face with non-technical stakeholders
  • Triaging and classification of inbound requests and incidents
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Operate effectively under pressure.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities to ensure meet business commitments.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A current driver’s license.

Civil Estimator

We are currently seeking a Civil Estimator based in Townsville. You  can look forward to duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare estimates, tenders and quotes in conjunction with the rest of the estimating team.
  • Liaise with client on an ongoing basis to determine progress of tender.
  • Obtain client’s feedback on submitted tenders and present the results at the estimating team meetings.
  • Participate in development of methodology and programming for tenders.
  • Assist with preparation of ‘Expression of Interest’ and ‘Capability Statements’ to key potential client as required.
  • Maintain, update and enhance the organisation’s estimating databases (suppliers contact list, tenders and potential jobs registers) and library (standards, suppliers’ catalogues).
  • Coordinate and organise with Senior Management team a review of all tenders prior to final submission to client.

 

You will ideally be qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline with possession of QLD (C) class drivers licence. You should have had a minimum of 5 years experience with exposure to construction, mining or civil with references to support your application.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Good understating of construction methods, and related documentation, including Specifications, plans and drawings.
  • Ability to acquire understanding of SCE’s quality and estimating procedures.
  • Ability to deal with clients, project staff and industry contacts.
  • A high level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Project, Vista and estimating software packages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Senior Project Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years’ experience.  The role will be based in Townsville and will report directly to the Regional Manager. The Senior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the project, and as such will be required to:

  • Administer the head contract and subcontracts;
  • Establish and maintain the construction program;
  • Establish and monitor the budgets;
  • Manage clients, subcontractors, suppliers and employees;
  • Ensure the project quality, safety and environmental objectives are achieved;
  • Submit monthly project reports for review; and
  • At times may be required to assist the Estimating Department in tendering for works.

You will be qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline with possession of QLD (C) class drivers licence. You must have at least 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager.

You will also have previous experience and knowledge in:

  • A sound understanding of the construction industry including modern construction techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Contracts management.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A good level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Project.
