The project was situated at two locations Roma and Fairview. The Fairview projects (fvo4 and fvo5) are based approximately 1hr from Injune. Our scope included to constructing building pads and roads. We were also awarded the contract to construct a 200 man camp. During construction we were proactive with the client and our proposed designs were taken on. This ensured the projects were built to a high standard that were located in very challenging terrain.

Scope of Work

  • Combining the three work sites, a total of 27,000m2 of area was cleared and stripped of topsoil
  • Our earthwork operations totaled 13,000m3 Cut/Fill. The original design had allowed for 24,000m3 of cut/fill but after we inspected the sites we noted that with some changes we could help save our client costs and also ensure program dates were meet
  • Supplied and installed 2,500m of HDPE pipe using both excavators and trenching machine
  • Placement of 18,500T of material for pavements and pads, using local quarries and haulage companies
  • Install of 750m2 of pre-cast pavers for walkway around the buildings
  • 16,800m2 of pavements were sealed using a 2 coat bitumen seal
  • Install of 1000m of fencing throughout the project

Project Complications & Achievements

The project was LTI free and over 80,000 man hours LTI free.
