The LAND 154 project involved the demolition of redundant infrastructure, realignment of the existing swale by means of cut and fill, construction of pavements to underside of concrete, installation of drainage pits and stormwater infrastructure.

Scope of Work

  • Cut to fill – 950 m3
  • Cut to stockpile – 700 m3
  • Detailed excavation – approx. 50 m3
  • 300mm PVC Stormwater line – approx. 180m
  • 100mm PVC Stormwater line – approx. 40m
  • 5 x Drainage pits
  • 3 x Precast concrete headwalls
  • Hardstand required for heavy duty concrete pavement. 300mm of PM2/20 was placed on a prepared subgrade and handed over to the concrete subcontractor to complete works

Project Complications & Achievements

Shamrock Civil worked in conjunction with St Hilliers to work through issues raised on site regarding the levels of the proposed stormwater lines. This involved on site meetings with GHD, undertaking survey investigations and putting forward proposals for suitable and practical solutions. This advice was welcomed, accepted, and implemented.
