Overview
The W2B project involves the duplication of approximately 155 kilometres of road to a four-lane divided road on the Pacific Highway in northern NSW. Shamrock Civil Engineering was awarded the Demolition and Remediation Package which included the demolition, assessment, remediation and validation of selected properties of concern including the former United Harwood Service Station Site, two former residential sites adjacent, and the RMS Maclean Depot.
Scope of works
- Clearing and grubbing
- Hazardous Buildings Materials Assessment
- Removal of Hazardous Building Materials
- Demolition of above and underground structures and removal of all wastes
- Contaminated Land Investigation including investigation/reporting and providing a remedial action plan
- Remediation of contaminated land and associated reporting
- Removal and capping of underground services up to the boundary
- Minor utility adjustments as required for existing adjacent properties
- Treatment of Acid Sulphate soils
- Backfilling and compaction of excavations
- Site completion to natural ground level
