  • Flexible pavement backfill to electrical and communications combined services trench. Rigid concrete pavement backfill to fuel line trench including 2 traffic islands.
  • Concrete works including formwork, steel reinforcement, concrete supply, concrete pump, place & finish for slab, kerbs and concrete island infills.
  • Metalwork
  • Staged trenching & backfill to ensure constant access for Defence personnel.
  • Shamrock Civil undertook additional contamination testing and verification before disposing offsite to a licenced waste facility under Queensland Department of Environment and Science Waste Tracking certificates

Project Complications & Achievements

Shamrock Civil turfed the landscape area rather than ‘seed’ as per the design documents, this provided better value for money to Defence but also provided a reduced risk of erosion / PFAS soil run-off from the earthworks batters. Shamrock complete the contracted works ahead of the scheduled programme completion date as the original duration allowed for stand-down and contingencies for other subcontractors to perform their works. Shamrock Civil successfully delivered the project on time with zero LTI’s and NCR’s.
