Shamrock Civil Engineering were awarded the project to complete remediation works to main access roads and other tracks within the Wide Bay Training Area.

Scope of Work

Road Remediation Works:
  • Scarify existing surface
  • Import and add new type 2.3 road base gravel where required
  • Condition and compact new surface
  • Reinstate drainage channels and turnouts
  • Construct rock mattresses and scour protection where required with 75-150mm rock
  • Construct rock Mitre Drains in various areas requiring transverse drainageacross road alignment
  • Vacuum excavate blockages from pipes where required
  • Total length of approximately 32.1km of roads remediated
  • Asphaltic repair work on Route 20 (Total Area = 60m2)
  • Remove corroded culvert pipe and replace with RC pipe and headwalls onGate 2 to Route 20 Track
  • Repair 4 x concrete edge blocks on Castle Bridge
